Game On - Victorious at Plumpton
We saw a fantastic performance from 'Game On' on Sunday at Plumpton. He gained his first victory over hurdles at the 3rd time of asking, doing it in very impressive fashion. The race was a good contest with a nice prize on offer and it was also an EBF qualifier, so he is now eligible to run in the 'Grade 3 EBF final handicap hurdle'. This takes place at Sandown on March 10th and we are going to make this his main target, hopefully he can do us all proud in competing for a big £36,000 prize. It's very encouraging what he's shown so far, especially considering he's destined to go over fences next season and we've always thought he'll make a better chaser than hurdler. He's a top prospect and one which you don't want to miss out on!
Exciting chase prospect with Lucy Wadham
October 24, 2017
I am now very pleased to confirm that we've taken on a fantastic individual in training with Lucy Wadham. Lucy's stables are based right in the heart of Newmarket and she's considered the 'main' NH trainer in that area operating at an impressive 15% strike rate over the last 5 seasons.
The individual we've taken on is called 'Game On'. He's a very nice looking 5yo gelding, who's currently had just the 2 NHF races. He finished a very nice fourth of seventeen LTO, where he ran from the front only to be passed in the last furlong of the race. It was a nice performance especially since he's going to relish going over obstacles. He's going to start this season in a few weeks time over hurdles, with hopefully a view to chasing towards the end of the season. He's already schooled over fences with Leighton Aspell and took them very well indeed.
He's very highly regarded by Lucy herself, who has already suggested it wouldn't surprise her to see him go onto very good things in his career. He is out of a half-sister to Sweeney Tunes, Tobefair and Billy Bronco. He's also by Sire 'Gamut' who has excelled as a sire of jumps horses, producing the likes of 'road to riches' & 'road to respect' but to name a few. They rate him very highly in the stable and have already suggested it won't surprise them if they get contacted by the likes of JP McManus at some point or someone of that ilk.
They currently value him at £40,000 having paid £30,000 for him at store just over a year ago. Shares will be available at the following costs -
