  • Game On - Bigger Things Ahead

    12th January 2018

Last Sunday we made the pleasant trip to Plumpton racecourse with our exciting recruit 'Game On'. He had been entered in a few races recently, but for one reason or another (Including an abandoment) we'd been unable to get him on a racecourse. Eventually a suitable opportunity came up and we were pleasantly surprised looking at the declarations, as for the prize on offer, it looked a reasonable field to be competing against. The race itself was a class 3 Novices Hurdle over 2m4f...

  • Game On - Victorious at Plumpton

    January, 2018

We saw a fantastic performance from 'Game On' on Sunday at Plumpton. He gained his first victory over hurdles at the 3rd time of asking, doing it in very impressive fashion. The race was a good contest with a nice prize on offer and it was also an EBF qualifier, so he is now eligible to run in the 'Grade 3 EBF final handicap hurdle'. This takes place at Sandown on March 10th and we are going to make this his main target, hopefully he can do us all proud in competing for a big £36,000 prize. It's very encouraging what he's shown so far, especially considering he's destined to go over fences next season and we've always thought he'll make a better chaser than hurdler. He's a top prospect and one which you don't want to miss out on!

  • Contre Tous - Seasonal return

    January, 2018

This exciting chaser has had just the 5 british starts, winning 2 of his 4 chases and he has some fantastic form to back up his victories at Market Rasen. He's going to be making his seasonal debut in the next couple of weeks and we are very excited to see him in PRO colour's for the first time. He's currently rated 125, but he has lots of untapped potential and even on form he should be well handicapped going into this season, who know's where he'll end up!

  • Captain Sedgwick - More to come

    January, 2018

This fantastic 4yo is already a PRO winner and she ran some fantastic races in her first year of racing in 2017. She's a scopey filly who has plenty of potential and her trainer John Spearing has always been fond of her. He's always thought she'd take time to fill her big frame, he's confident that she's going to improve plenty and will be even better this season. She runs regularly (13 runs in 2017), goes on both turf and all weather tracks, so is a fantastic horse for the racing enthusiast who love attending race days.

  • Aislin Moon - Ready to roll

    January, 2018

We are hoping to get her out on a racecourse in a few weeks time and she is in fantastic form at home. We've always thought lots of this filly and Les has been very patient with her. Her homework is impeccable and we are confident that she will put this into practice this season. Les thinks she's a very nice filly who should be capable of competing at some big meetings, she has lots of ability and a good attitude for racing. She's had just the 3 maiden runs so far and has a very workable handicap mark, she's going to be in for a very exciting season ahead.

  • New Yearling Colt - To Be Trained By Les Eyre

I'm very pleased to announce that we managed to secure a fantastic yearling colt yesterday at Doncaster sales last Thursday. In all honesty I think we were very fortunate to get him as myself and Les both agreed before he went in the ring, we thought he'd go for at least £12,000.

  • Brilliant Start To A Winning July

    19th July 2017

What a start to the month we've had here at PRO with four horses getting along to the racecourse. Firstly we had the eagerly awaited return of Maddys Dream, his owners deserve a medal for how patient they've been with him since his injury in May last year. It had been a long road to recovery, but it was definitely worth the wait.

  • Aislin Moon - Breathtaking Piece Of Work

    27th June 2017

Things are really getting exciting for Aislin Moon's owners and for everyone involved with team Les Eyre. I've attached below a very exciting video of her piece of work on Saturday. It's exciting because she went up to the gallops with a nice proven horse of Les' and put in a quite breathtaking performance.

  • Captain Sedgwick Improving & The Form Backs It Up

    12th June 2017

It's been an interesting journey for the owners of Captain Sedgwick so far and you can't help but feel it's only going to get better. She's always been a scopey filly who took lots of interest just based on her looks and being an unknown quantity. She started off her career slowly at Kempton where she ran incredibly green and was beaten miles in a 6f Maiden race. She then went to Wolverhampton where we began to see a bit of improvement, she beat a few home and it was clear that she still had a lot to learn. We then took her to Lingfield on the all weather where she ran a nice race from the front, running green still, but showing that she had some fighting qualities about her, battling back to only be beaten by 2 lengths. This was when we all got a good feeling that she's really starting to understand what was being asked of her and that she definitely has some real ability.

  • PRO Purchases Top Chase Prospect With Brian Ellison

    31st May 2017

It's been a very exciting week for PRO so far, we've recently acquired a fantastic chasing prospect called 'Contre Tous' who's going to be trained by Yorkshire based trainer Brian Ellison. He is now under PRO ownership and we couldn't be happier to have him as part of the Personal Racehorse Owner Syndicate. He was in training with Paul Nicholls last season and was owned by the Million In Mind Partnership. Brian purchased the gelding at the Goffs Doncaster Sales last week and we couldn't be happier to working alongside Brian and his team.

  • Busy Start To May

    5th May 2017

We've had a very busy first week of May and things are really starting to hot up for team PRO. This week alone we've had one stable visit and two race days!

We started the week visiting the fantastic stable of Oliver Sherwood based in Lambourn. We had a good crowd of PRO owners in attendance to see Versifier out on the gallops. We arrived around 8:30am, had a cup of tea with the team and then shortly after headed up in convey to the scenic gallops of Lambourn.

  • Exciting new filly joins PRO

    7th April 2017

There's plenty happening at PRO this Spring, we've got a few stable visits organised, a new horse to visit and we should also see the majority of PRO horses out on the racecourse.

We really like to get our owners and future owners along to the stable, to enjoy some unique opportunities like meeting the trainer, seeing the horses out on the gallops and just getting a general idea of what goes on behind the scenes at a professional racing stable.

  • Exciting Spring Ahead

    19th February 2017

So here at PRO our owners are in for a very exciting spring, with all of our horses gracing the racecourse. We've had a good start to 2017 with Versifier running a couple of nice races, including a LTO 2nd place. Since then she's been given an opening mark of 104, we are now waiting for some better ground to come around and we will then look to get her back on the racecourse. She's been in great form at home and all of the Personal Racehorse Owners Syndicate are confident she's in for a good spring period.

  • Versifier's Debut & More

    23rd October 2016

The big stage was set for Versifier's PRO debut and she didn't disappoint!

She ran a very pleasing race over a trip that is probably on the short side for her. She came third (well clear of the fourth horse) in a relatively hot contest, she looked like she would benefit from a tougher test of stamina. However watching the race back she's got some real class about her the way she breezed through the field on the bridle to tag onto the eventual winner.

  • Lady Gwhinnyvere - Promising At Brighton

    21st August 2016

Today we visited Brighton Racecourse for Lady Gwhinnyvere's second outing. We were hoping for a much improved display after the disappointment of last time where she didn't act at all on the softer ground. It was a lovely day with a few owners present for the first time, the ground was drying after the rain from the previous 2 days but the going was changed to good to firm just before the first race, which all of the Personal Racehorse Owner's were happy about.

  • PRO Runners Primed For Action

    11th August 2016

It's all hands on deck for the next month or so, we've got PRO runners here there and everywhere. We should have all 3 2yo's with John Spearing gracing the track, most likely we'll see Lady Gwhinnyvere. A beautiful Sir Prancealot filly who didn't handle the soft ground on debut, we've entered her at Brighton on the 21st for the PRO syndicate, hopefully the ground stays Firm and we can expect a much improved performance. John is very complimentary about her and she works fantastically well at home, so for him it would be no surprise to see a prominent display, hopefully some of her PRO Owners can be in attendance.

  • Spearing 2yo's Out In Force

    29th July 2016

Next week we are going to be incredibly busy with our PRO runners. First we've got the very talented and well bred Lady Gwhinnyvere making her racecourse debut at Nottingham on Tuesday Evening. John is very excited about this Sir Prancealot filly and the reports from the gallops are only enhancing her reputation as she makes her debut for the Personal Racehorse Owners syndicate. It was only last week that we saw two Sir Prancealot youngsters competing in the same race, they finished 1st and 3rd! We are certain that she's going to be making a big impact over the next month or so, we cannot wait to see what she's made of on the racecourse.

  • Sexy Secret - A Brave Victory

    25th July 2016

I've been putting off writing this blog for a few days now to let the excitement of our first PRO racing syndicate winner sink in. However the main reason for me putting it off is because I'm not sure how I can put into words the feelings and emotions that were felt on Thursday after Sexy Secret fought hard to become Personal Racehorse Owner's first winner.
